Casual Chef – Wommin Bay



We offer our residents freshly prepared meals and snacks, all cooked on site in our commercial kitchens. We are now seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team to provide high quality, nutritious meals to our residents. Please note this a casual position and includes weekend work. This role is based at our Wommin Bay residential village.Key responsibilities:Implement and review of high quality menus which meet the dietary requirements of residents including nutritional, cultural and specialised health requirements.Provide guidance and support to the team by leading the daily operations of the kitchen during your shift.Prepare meals for residents ensuring consistency in quality, taste and presentation.Ensure compliance with HACCP legislation and Feros Food safety Plan.Monitor and maintain sufficient food supplies for each residential facility.Respond to customer feedback regarding the quality of food served to ensure.Ensure that the Food Safety Program and its support program documentation is maintained.Ensure a safe working environment in the residential facility implementing and working within workplace health and safety requirements including the use of personal protective equipment as required.More about you:You will have a certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or similar and experience working in commercial kitchensYou will be able to work rotating weekendsAbility to be flexible when it comes to roster – 3/5 days per weekShifts will be from 7.30am - 15.30pmYou will have Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or be willing to complete one)You will be required to lead by example, be even tempered and thrive working in a fast paced environment.You respect the privacy, confidentiality and dignity of senior clients, and maintain a professional working relationships with clients at all times (but still be up for forging some great relationships with our residents and having FUN)For the full details about the role please see attached the position description.
