We are now seeking a Kitchen Hand to join our team to assist in providing high quality, nutritious meals to our residents. This role will work across both of our Byron Bay and Bangalow facilities. About the role:Assisting chefs with the daily running of the commercial kitchenPrepare a variety of fruits, meats, vegetables for resident meals (wash, slice, dice, peel etc.)Create meals that differ in texture and consistency to meet the needs of residentsServe and present mealsCheck and record temperatures for freezers, fridges and cold storesEnsure consistency in quality, taste, presentation and nutrition at all timesClean kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floor and wallsReceive, check and store stock appropriatelySetup dining room prior to mealsBoxes you have to tick:You hold a Certificate in Food Safety 1 and/or 2 (or willingness to attend Feros Care training for this before commencing any food handling)Current unrestricted drivers licencePhysical suitability and competence: Physical fitness including (but not limited to): manual handling, carrying, standing/sitting for long periods of timeBrownie Points:Experience working within aged careRecent experience working in a commercial kitchenYou have flexible availability with the ability to work weekendsAbout Feros Care:Feros Care is a multi-award winning not-for-profit organisation offering a range of aged, disability and community care services.
