About the RoleFeros Care is proud to partner with the NDIS to offer Local Area Coordination services in Mackay, Townsville, ACT, Northern Adelaide and Barossa.This is exciting role is working within our Local Area Coordination (LAC) team and will see you contributing towards making a real difference in the lives of people living with a disability.In this pivotal role, you will assist with a range of administrative and coordination tasks. You will be the first point of contact for participants, families and the general community, utilising your exceptional customer service skills.Key responsibilities of this role include:Explaining the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to people with disability, their family and the broader communityEnsuring all records, information, contacts and activities are recorded in the NDIS IT system dailyBooking and managing appointment schedules for our Local Area Co-ordinators.Assisting with unplanned changes to existing rosters, forward planning for future services and preparing schedules that reduce staff travel time between appointmentsHandling a high volume of phone callsEngaging with mainstream and community services to promote the intrinsic value of people with disability in contributing to the development of social and economic activityAssisting in gathering information and mapping available community resources and non-funded supportsThis is a full time opportunity on a fixed term contract until 30th June 2019, with the possibility of extension.About YouThe successful candidate will have a "can do" approach with high energy. You will be patient, caring and passionate about supporting people to live their best life. Being a positive respectful communicator with the ability to build a strong rapport quickly will also stand you in good stead for this role.Required Skills, Qualifications and ExperiencePrevious experience working within a high volume inbound/outbound call centre environmentExperience in scheduling or rostering within a high volume service delivery environment will be an advantageExcellent problem solving skillsWell-developed communication skills (written, verbal and listening) with highly developed telephone techniques in order to liaise effectively with clientsDemonstrated high level computer literacy and strong experience using OutlookDemonstrated time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasksDemonstrated ability to maintain accuracy whilst working in a busy environment and managing competing demandsPrevious experience in the disability or home support services is desirable but not essentialKnowledge of the NDIS program would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be providedWho is Feros Care and why would I want to be a part of the team?
