You might already work in the industry but don’t have a qualification, or maybe you find yourself to be very caring in your personal life and think this will transfer across to a career helping to care for our seniors. You will assist our qualified carers to perform their duties by doing things such as setting up the shower, helping make a bed, helping serve meals. This role will be varied and provide great exposure to what it takes to be a qualified carer. A traineeship in a certificate III may be on offer for the right candidate.Working approx. 10 – 20 hours per week depending on availabilityAssisting our qualified carers in our 64 bed facilityGeneral cleaningParticipating in daily activitiesAssisting with mealsBuilding relationships with our amazing residents and truly contributing to making sure they feel at home!The boxes you have to tick:You are available to work a variety of shifts across 7 daysOur shifts include morning (6.30am), evening (1.30/2.30pm) and night (10.30pm). Shifts can be anywhere from 4 – 7.6 hours depending on occupancyYou are passionate about supporting others and energised by interacting and engaging with our elderly residentsPhysical fitness including (but not limited to): manual handling, carrying, standing/sitting for long periods of timeYou are willing to undergo a police check and prove that you have the right to work in AustraliaBrownie Points:You may also be working towards your Cert III in Aged Care/Disability/Individual support or an equivalent qualificationWork experience in a similar industry – in a cleaning, kitchen, volunteer capacityPrevious work history as a carer – perhaps it has been a while between roles and you are looking to get back into the gameAbout Feros Care:Feros Care is a multi-award winning not-for-profit organisation offering a range of aged, disability and community care services.
