Practice Lead, Local Area Coordination – Townsville



Feros Care is proud to partner with the NDIS to deliver Local Area Coordination services in your community.  We are shaking up industry and looking for likeminded go-getters to join us in our mission to help people live independent and bold lives! About the role: The Practice Lead is an integral part of the Local Area Coordination Team and the role’s primary objective is to strengthen practice delivery of the Partner in the Community (PITC) Program. This position is the region’s primary source of expertise, supporting the maintenance and development of best practice to result in improved participant outcomes. Key responsibilities: Develop and monitor LAC practice in all areas of the NDIS participant pathway Maintain a professional workforce with a strong focus on individual development and training, improved quality of plans and reviews, improved audit results and adherence to practice standards as set out in our PITC contract  Provide practice leadership to improve the quality and efficiency within the region  Demonstrate a commitment to Feros Care’s quality framework and culture through continual improvement activities Identify emerging opportunities, new initiatives or feedback on the program Build credibility and influence within the region to accurately identify, assess, and respond in a timely manner to issues/risks and matters of concern, particularly those related to the effective delivery of the PITC Program The boxes you will tick: Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent experience in allied health, disability services, human services, community development, social work or similar discipline Demonstrated knowledge of the NDIS Act 2013 and the participant pathway with the ability to prepare and deliver logical, sequential and succinct presentations  Experience in participating and conducting reflective practice, applying the NDIS frameworks and referring to research and literature to inform case practice and decision making at an advanced level Highly developed communication, supervision, collaborative, interpersonal and negotiation skills.  Proven ability to come across with presence and credibility and addressing difficult and sensitive topics and questions in a learning environment  Demonstrated ability to lead a team and ability to work collaboratively and contribute to consistent, innovative work practices Demonstrated experience in quality mapping For brownie points: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) – and the TAELLN411 unit Work perks (the goodies!): Salary packaging (up to $15,899 per annum) Free access to health and fitness clubs A chance to be recognised and rewardedContinuous learning and development is part of the Feros Care cultureTruly fun, flexible and supportive work environment – we walk the talk  Keep health and wellbeing at the top of mind, take advantage of our Employee Assistance Program  Meaningful experiences where you know you are making a positive impact in the local community every day   Variety is the spice of life - everyone is welcome, and everyone matters at Feros Care.
