We offer our residents freshly prepared meals and snacks, all cooked on site in our commercial kitchens.We are now seeking a talented, passionate and professional, Chef/Cook to join our team to provide, support to our Head Chefs. This role will also provide a back fill function to our Head Chefs during periods of leave. This a permanent part time position, 30 hours minimum per fortnight and includes work across our 3 residential villages in Kingscliff, Byron Bay & Bangalow.About the role:Assisting Head Chefs with the daily running of the commercial kitchen and provide leave backfill to these roles, when requiredAssisting with the preparation of meals for residents ensuring consistency in quality, taste and presentationMonitoring and reporting on sufficient food suppliesRespond to customer feedback regarding the quality of food servedEnsuring compliance with HACCP legislation and Feros Food Safety PlanEnsuring a safe working environment in the residential facility by working within workplace health and safety requirementsAbout you:You hold a Certificate in Commercial Cookery or similar and experience working in commercial kitchens.Recent experience working in a commercial kitchen and cooking in bulkYou will be able to travel to all of our Residential villagesYou will be required to lead by example, be even tempered and thrive working in a fast paced environment.Previous experience developing and delivering menus to meet a range of special dietary requirementsProven skills in preparing and costing new menusAbout Feros Care:We are a not-for-profit, people centred organisation that is dedicated to raising the profile of senior people and supporting them to live their BEST LIFE!
