Virtual Local Area Coordinator – Tweed Heads



About the Role:Feros Care is proud to partner with the NDIS to deliver Local Area Coordination Services in Mackay, Townsville, ACT, Barossa and Northern Adelaide regions. We are currently searching for a Virtual Local Area Coordinator (VLAC) to support our LACs in these regions in an office base role in our Tweed Heads office. This role will see you scheduling appointments, liaising with participants and clients over the phone, providing exceptional customer service and guided support.Your primary responsibilities will include:Rostering and scheduling regional appointmentsWorking in collaboration with the participant to collect all required information to enable the pre-planning and initial plan to be developed as effectively as possibleGuide and assist participants over the phone to develop their options and build capacity to undertake self-managementReceive and manage phone calls from participants, families and the communityAssist people deemed by NDIS as not eligible for Scheme, their families, and carers with information linkages and supports to utilise natural supports and connect with their communityAssisting with daily statistics and KPI gathering from the NDIS IT system to support program monitoring.Assist LAC service in organising and planning community events, information sessions and presentations.Assist with ordering technology, liaising with NDIS IT support and manage access for local LAC workforce.Supporting the day to day operations of local LACs providing administration, phone and events management support.Essential requirements for this role:A relevant qualification in disability, community services, child services, or lived experience with disability or minimum 3 years experience working within the disability sectorWell developed communication skills (written, verbal and listening) including high level telephone technique in order to liaise effectively with all callersDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment to efficiently respond to the daily fluctuations in service delivery requirements of changing service levelsExperience and commitment to working with and delivering high quality services to people with disability, their families, carers and local communities, or a lived experienceConfident and everyday user of technology and the internetWhat are we offering?Salary packaging (up to $15,899 per annum tax free)Access to comprehensive health and well-being programsProfessional and personal developmentPositive team culture where everyone mattersTechnology kits including a laptop and smart phoneWho is Feros Care and why would I want to be a part of the team?We are a not-for-profit, people centred organisation dedicated to supporting people to live their BEST LIFE!
