Virtual Social Center Manager



The Virtual Social Centre Manager role is a key leadership role, with overall responsibility for volunteer and social experience initiatives for virtual social centre communities, delivered on the Virtual Social Centre (VSC) platform. The VSC is a vibrant, online social group platform delivering health and social programs, enriching the lives of seniors through forming social connections. VSC sessions delivered aim to maximise quality of life, promote healthy active ageing and reduce social isolation of clients and their carers.The Virtual Social Centre Manager is responsible for the overall planning, development, management, implementation and evaluation of innovative, evidence based and sustainable wellness and re-ablement projects, working in collaboration with VSC Community Managers and Program Co-ordinators, as well as other key stakeholders in the organisation.   What will I be doing? Develop community specific, fit for purpose virtual social programs, using a co-design process to highlight consumer requirements, and working in conjunction with VSC Community Managers and Program CoordinatorsLead and performance manage the VSC Community Managers, and Technical Support Officers, across all virtual social communitiesLead the VSC Community Managers to enhance the living experience and independence of community clients across our service footprint through the development, implementation and evaluation of innovative and responsive social experience, wellness, volunteer and reablement programs that maximise quality of life, promote healthy active ageing, and facilitate community re-engagementStrengthen access to social opportunities and positive living options for clients through the delivery of Volunteer, Transport, and Virtual Senior Centre servicesEstablish processes and systems for consistent and ongoing client/customer co-design to support all VSC communitiesContinuously seek evidence based best practice models that can be embedded to improve wellness programs for seniors and staffEnthusiastically lead, develop, and implement both government funded and commercial social experience, volunteer, and transport models that expand and sustain the programsBe an ambassador of innovation to promote the social experience, wellness, reablement and volunteering programs at every available opportunityManage the overall operations of the Virtual Senior Centre programs, allowing for diversification into new products, areas and population segmentsWork in partnership with the Health and Wellness Business Development Manager to maximise opportunities for strategic partnerships with external organisationsIdentify and proactively respond to funding and promotional opportunities such as grants and awardsThe boxes you need to tick:Commercialisation/business development experienceHealth promotion, or health and social services backgroundProven experience in the development and implementation of innovative and sustainable positive living, volunteer and social experience programs to reduce social isolation, improve health and wellbeing and the quality of life of peopleStrong understanding and application of contemporary evidence around wellness, positive psychology, health promotion and reablementHigh degree of drive, initiative, motivation and creativity, with the capacity to deal with multiple and often conflicting priorities as well as client and stakeholder expectationsHighly developed interpersonal skills including negotiation and the ability to communicate and effectively motivate both internal and external stakeholders to shared achievementAbility to lead, motivate, mentor and provide feedback to staff and volunteers in a community care environmentHighly developed skills in project management and implementing comprehensive programs and functions across a large geographical footprintMinimum 5 years managerial experience in Health Promotion, Community Development, Project Management or similarHighly developed computer skills including proficiency with MS Office programs particularly Outlook, Word and Excel and the willingness to embrace new technology and softwareQualifications, Certificates and Registrations:Tertiary qualification in Health Promotion, Population Health, Health Management of similarUnrestricted Australian driver's license and ability to travel when requiredPosition Description 90000 AUD Australia - QLD Gold Coast Tweed Heads South 2486
