Feros Care is looking for a Manager Capacity Building and Stakeholder Engagement who is an expert in strengthening foundations and partnering with individuals to achieve the best possible outcomes for people with disability. You will play a pivotal role in delivering consistent and high quality Local Area Coordination (LAC) programs to support people with disability to live their best life by exercising choice and control.What are we offering?Salary packaging (up to $15,899 per annum tax free)Salary sacrificed vehicleAccess to comprehensive health and well-being programsProfessional and personal developmentPositive team culture where everyone mattersTechnology kits including a laptop and smart phoneBeing a part of an award winning, forward thinking and non-traditional companyAbout the RoleReporting into the Director of Assessment and Planning, the Manager Capacity Building and Stakeholder Engagement will play a central role in engaging and supporting asset based community driven initiatives that meet the needs of the community in connecting the unconnected.  This role will also facilitate integrated local community planning and coordination, engaging people with a disability and their families, disability service providers and broader community organisationsYour primary responsibilities will include:Identify community needs, service gaps and barriers whilst connecting and consulting with people with disabilities and their families, disability service providers and community organisationsPrepare and facilitate the regional capacity building plans and strategies in conjunction with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and other stakeholders involved in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)Establish strong relationships with the state and territory jurisdictions and NDIS regions to plan and deliver effective communication and engagementWork closely with the local communities to build and deliver sustainable capacity building and stakeholder engagement activitiesPlan, develop and deliver initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion and cultural awareness including people with disabilities and representatives of Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander communitiesProvide mentoring and training to the LAC team to ensure local plans and programs are implemented effectivelyAssist and facilitate the development of systems to maintain data and statistics for KPI reporting for the NDISEssential requirements for this role:Tertiary qualifications in community development, health promotion, social planning, social work or similarPrior experience in liaising and working with all levels of governmentPrevious achievements in developing and implementing community development and capacity building initiativesExperience in implementing programs to support diverse communities with extensive understanding of inclusion and participationHighly developed consultation and engagement skills and demonstrated negotiation and liaison experienceUnderstanding and knowledge around the impact that disability may have on daily life and how effective capacity building can significantly enhance a person’s ability to participate in community, social and economic lifeCurrent clean unrestricted drivers licenceAbility to travel interstate and stay away from home at least 2 nights every monthWho is Feros Care and why would I want to be a part of the team?
