Community Development Officer (Events)

Applications to this role are open to people of all abilities. A fantastic opportunity has arisen in our Cultural Services branch for a team member with community development and events management experience. We are looking for enthusiastic and team orientated candidates with experience in developing and delivering events and community development plans, projects and initiatives underpinned by the principles of asset based community development, The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills and experience working closely with a range of stakeholders and community organisations. The requirements for this position include: Substantial experience in developing, planning and promoting events.Substantial experience in project managing events and project delivery to achieve outcomes to meet deadlines.Experience in risk management and occupational health and safety requirements associated with events.Highly developed customer service skills and experience.Ability to work outside of normal office hours as required.Demonstrated experience working both individually and as part of a team.Well developed skills in both written and verbal communication including public speaking.Well developed ability to use Microsoft Office software.Ability to consult with government agencies, cultural groups and the community.Current or commitment to obtain A Working with Children Clearance.This position is full time and will be offered as a permanent contract.Previous applicants need not applyRemuneration: $69,000 - $74,000, plus superannuation, plus a range of fantastic employee benefits.           Enquiries:  Lynne Ward, Coordinator Community development on 9237 9242.    Applications close 3pm on Monday 29 January 2018. Position Description 65000 AUD Australia - WA Perth CBD, Inner & Western Suburbs Subiaco 6008
