General Manager – Service Transformation and Innovation



The General Manager will provide strategic leadership and management of new products, services and diversification start-ups including virtual care that will drive next practice innovation. You will contribute to Feros Care achieving its strategic transformation and growth goals by developing and deploying next practice service delivery models and services in health, community and residential care.To facilitate this, you will lead the operations of our volunteering, virtual care, group services and start-up teams to grow our services in health and aged care. You will foster strategic partnerships with primary care and health organisations and ensure that we meet contractual and service outcomes. You will lead your team to apply human centric design methodologies ensuring that new products and services contribute to Feros Cares point of difference and deliver an exceptional customer experience, desired client outcomes and enable our Grow Bold mission. This role is based at our Coolangatta office on a 3 year fixed term contract.  Some of your key focuses will be:Providing leadership and operational oversight of emerging programs and portfolios including Virtual Care, Volunteering, the Virtual Seniors Centre and Product and Service DesignActing as the subject matter expert for new and emerging products and services ensuring comprehensive knowledge of the program, relevant legislation and the deliverables as outlined in the related funding agreementsEnsuring program requirements are embedded, continuously reviewed and updated across the relevant operational activities and business units to ensure 100% compliance with deliverables e.g. Finance, Human Resource Management, Quality, IT/CommunicationsLead the design and development of a suite of virtual care products and services including chronic disease management, hospital in the home, palliative and post-acute careDevelop and manage strategic and operational reports, plans and ensure a cycle of continuous improvement is embedded across all business activitiesConduct regular competitive and industry analysis to understand Feros positioning, including our strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats. Developing proactive strategies to affect industry leadershipOversee services operations to maximise funding opportunities through accurate and comprehensive documentation of client information as well as ensuring contractual KPI's and obligations are achieved What do I need to be successful in this role?Minimum offive years' experience managing service and product design in either the aged, community care of health sectorsBroad experience in service delivery and quality systems in either the aged, community care or health sectorsAchievements in growing new and emerging services in either the aged, community care of health sectorsAchievements in providing strategic leadership and human resource management for operational service planningUnderstanding of the supply chain model in aged care and proven experience in leading case management and sales teamsExperience facilitating effective change management processes and creating an environment that embraces change to enhance strategic performance and service to clientsUnderstanding and advanced knowledge of person-centred care and an ability to deliver consistent professional and innovative services and quality outcomesA minimum offive years' experience inpeople management and leadershipAchievements in leading, managing and mentoring staff, to create a workplace culture that is engaging, positive, playful, creative, cohesive and productiveUnderstanding of government, business and organisational drivers Qualifications:Relevant tertiary qualification in a Management, Social Welfare/Human Service/Nursing/Health Disciplineor Broad experience in service delivery and quality systems in either the aged, community care or health sectorsCertifications in product design and/or human centric design Desirable qualifications or working experience:Current registration with APHRAPost Graduate qualifications in a Management, Social Welfare/Human Service/Nursing/Health Discipline Who are Feros Care?Feros Care is a multi-award winning not-for-profit organisation offering a range of aged, disability and community care services.
