We can support you in many ways and with many services.  We can help with residential aged care, home care, home maintenance, veteran’s services, community care, or getting you back on your feet after a hospital stay. Feros Care is proud to work in partnership with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to deliver Local Area Coordination Services in Northern Adelaide, Barossa, Mackay, Townsville and ACT. About the role: Our team of Local Area Coordinators (LACs) are the heartbeat of the NDIA in their local community, working with people with disability and their families to access and navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Our work is varied and diverse, sees us connecting with people from all walks of life, and is never short on the high-five opportunities.   The LAC Community Development Coordinator (CDC) plays a pivotal role in engaging with people living with disability, their families, carers, and the broader community to increase awareness and remove barriers to employment and volunteering opportunities. The CDC will routinely facilitate and implement a range of innovative capacity building employment activities that will support and assist people living with a disability and enable them to link into supported and mainstream employment and/or volunteering opportunities.   If you’re looking for a meaningful career where no two days are the same, we want to hear from you! What you’ll be doing: Develop, coordinate, and implement community capacity building project plans and project management schedules related to employment and/or vocational training Coordinate and participate in a range of related engagement activities including workshops, information sessions, presentations, expos, festivals, and conferences Through community engagement activities and stakeholder liaison, identify opportunities for community capacity building projects which focus on employment and/or vocational training Promote effective strategies to increase social inclusion and employment opportunities for people with disability both locally and nationally Collaborate with key regional stakeholders to establish Feros Care’s participation in reference groups or steering committees, which influence access and inclusion for people with disability within the community What you’ll need to have: Significant proven experience working in community development roles An understanding of community capacity building models Demonstrated experience in supporting people living with disability to gain supported or mainstream employment opportunities Exposure and/or experience in Disability and Community Services Demonstrated project management experience and administration Exceptional interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills Highly developed analytical skills Excellent verbal, communication, and presentation skills A high level of computer literacy Ability to work flexible hours, dependent on work requirements Experience in new program development, implementation and rollout Experience and knowledge of the disability sector and NDIS legislation and Strategic Directions What we can do for you:  Salary and Entertainment Packaging options for full-time positions up to$15,900 per year Daily travel allowance and flexible working options available Feros Care employee Fitness Forever options and discounts on Private Health Insurance Access to Nutrition, Financial Coaching, and Legal and Wellbeing Counselling via our Employee Assistance Program Comprehensive new starter program over four weeks delivered either virtually or in sunny Coolangatta, all expenses paid  Diversity and Inclusion  FerosCare is committed to employing a diverse workforce and encourages applications from a wide variety of people with varied backgrounds and lived experience.
